With a mother like Madonna she was always set to be stylish...


She might have been sparking fashion trends since the 1980s, but when it came to designing her new fashion line Material Girl Madonna was more than happy to let her daughter Lourdes Leon take the reigns.

And while we wouldn't blame her if she took the credit for producing such stylish offspring, Her Madgesty is only too willing to praise Lourdes for her own innate sense of style that's about to make her a fashion icon.

In an interview with USA Today Madonna explained her decision to let Lourdes (who prefers to be known as Lola) spearhead the fashion project.

"Since I have a few careers going, I decided that I wasn't going to get into designing this line by myself. No question, Lola seemed the perfect choice. She is really doing most of the work. She shows me things and I go 'that's cool' or 'that's not cool.' We both go to business meetings. We exchange ideas, talk things out and even disagree about some things, though rarely."

Wow! She's only 13-years-old and already Lola has the business brain and fashion sense to create a truly covetable clothing line. Though something tells us she might owe some of it to her mother...

"…she's been to enough photo sessions, video shoots and seen me put my tours together to have developed a great eye. She's also worked in the wardrobe department on some of my tours. I love the way she puts different things together that are sometimes unexpected. She's the fashion police at our house and has a point of view on what everyone is wearing. I'm not saying we agree on everything but we enjoy collaborating together."

If Lola isn't outdressing the Olsen twins in five years time we'll eat our favourite boater hat!
