Get rained on, cry, rub your eyes, this stuff won’t budge!
Liquid eyeliner can be tricky.
You need a steady hand, patience, perseverance and a big pack of wet wipes to clear up any mistakes.
We love flicked eyeliner wings and have been doing them so long a quick shout of ‘I’M DOING MY EYELINER’ while getting ready for a night out will make sure our gal pals stay WELL away.
No one wants to be responsible for our uneven flicks!
So after all that you want to make sure a tear shed when watching an X Factor audition on TV won’t ruin all your hard work.
So we’ve tried out the new Max Factor Colour Xpert Waterproof Eyeliners (£6.99) to see if they’re any good. See what we thought below…
The most important thing when selecting your liquid eyeliner is to have a good look at the applicator. This one is made of a kind of sponge and shaped into a point, so it’s ideal. It means you can apply a thin line or a thicker one and the sponge gives you so much more control than a brush. If you haven’t used a liquid eyeliner before, this is an easy applicator to perfect your straight line and flick motion with.
The eyeliners come in loads of different colours. As well as the traditional and versatile black, there’s Metallic Anthracite (that’s grey to you and me), Metallic Turquoise and Metallic Lilac. All of the colours have an amazing multidimensional sparkle finish. The formula dries quickly and once it dries it won’t budge. We rubbed it and poured water over it and it didn’t move. When it was time to take it off we used soap and it came off in little clumps. If you have sensitive eyes it’s probably best to use a make-up remover.
These are great professional style eyeliners that are easy to use and they actually LAST. Amazing.
10/10 (Might seem generous, but it was honestly well good).
