Get luscious lids like Coleen

Big lashes are all the rage right now and beauty brands battling it out for your attention with new releases all the time. Fake lashes are guaranteed to give you an amazing gaze, but who has the time to apply them everyday?!

Here are five steps to perfect fluttery eyes without the hassle

Step 1
Make sure you have cleaned all your old make-up off. Mascara is notoriously difficult to remove and you may still have some left over from the day before. Most eye make-up removers are oily, so make sure you gently pat your eyes dry with cotton wool before you start applying. Remember not to rub your eyes, as you will make them puffy and red before you even start. Be gentle and patient.

Step 2
Next curl your eyelashes with a good curler. It’s important that you do this before applying your mascara or you could make your lashes brittle and damaged otherwise.
Shu Uemura’s lash curler is an award winner and well worth investing in (£18 from most department stores)  A cheaper option is Ruby and Millie’s sturdy I-Lash  curler, £8.50. Boots
