The 1D cheerleaders were totes emoshe
With One Direction off living the high life on their quest for world domination so much of the time, it must have been pretty special to be able to bring along mums, dads and girlfriends galore to check out their once in a lifetime performance at the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony in London.
It sounds like seeing their boys playing to a worldwide audience got everyone a bit teary around the eyes - and we don't just mean Louis sassypants Tomlinson's either.
Carol Vorderman might've been busy, but that only left Harry's spare tickets free for his two favourite ladies and so naturally he brought along fit mum Anne Cox and sister Gemma to keep him company.
Although she wasn't there in person, it sounds like seeing boyfriend Liam on telly brought out the sentimental side in Danielle Peazer and after the lads' performance, she couldn't resist a lovey dovey tweet.
"From the days at Fountain Studios to singing at the Olympics to 2billion, I have loved you every single day. So proud @Real_Liam_Payne xx ," she said.
Taking along his parents instead, we're glad to hear that being sensible actually seems to run in Liam's family. Even packing binoculars for the occasion, his mum sounds like just the person we would like to sit next to - bet she had a packet of Softmints and a hanky for any stray tears in there too.
With Louis bringing along Eleanor Calder, Zayn also brought along Perrie Edwards who seems to have lent him her hat for the occasion.
"Such an amazing night last night, so so proud of @onedirection and can’t believe I saw the Spice Girls perform again! Best thing ever," Eleanor tweeted the next morning.
As anyone who follows him on Twitter can probably tell, Niall seems to have fallen head over heels in love with the whole Olympics. It's become so special to him that we'd be surprised to hear that he isn't suffering separation anxiety now it's all over.
Luckily he had his brother Greg to mop up any angst and Niall tweeted after the whole shebang was over, saying: "Words can't describe how it felt tonight! Best feeling ever! #london2012ClosingCeremony."
Daww. Bless their horizontally striped and colour coordinated cotton socks.
What do you think about all this? Ready to explode from all the cuteness or feeling a bit sickly sweet about it all?
