The anti-Oscar nominations are in and Breaking Dawn is up for a whole load of them
As an actor, it's usually a huge compliment to be nominated for an industry award, but it's possibly more of a jokey insult where the Razzies are concerned. A parody of the Oscars, the Razzies celebrate the worst movies of the year by publicly naming and shaming all those involved.
This year it seems quite likely one of the much hyped Golden Raspberry Awards could be going to Breaking Dawn, which has been nominated in most of the 10 categories. Well done guys, we bet your mums are very proud.
Managing to earn itself 8 nominations, they include the awards for Worst Picture, Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel and Worst On Screen Ensemble. Robert Pattinson got off a bit easier than his co-stars though, with Taylor Lautner nominated for Worst Actor and girlfriend Kristen Stewart nominated for Worst Actress.
The bit we are most scandalised byt is the Worst Screen Couple category, which K-Stew has been nominated for with BOTH Taylor and Rob!
Imagine being told that you and your real-life boyfriend's portrayal of lovers was one of the worst things the film industry have seen on screen all year.. We're pretty sure that's got to hurt.
It may have been one of our favourite movies of last year, but Breaking Dawn Part 1 is one of the most nominated films on this year's list alongside Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, Jack & Jill and New Year's Eve.
The Twilight crew shouldn't be too offended though, at least they're not up for as many awards as Adam Sandler, who is up for a combined total of 12 nominations. In 10 categories.
As well as winning the dishonour of the entire film industry, the (un)successful will win themselves a golfball sized plastic raspberry that has been spray-painted gold. Lovely.
We bet that the Breaking Dawn lot have got their fingers crossed already, but they'll have to wait until April Fool's Day (seriously) to find out if they've won.
What do you think of Breaking Dawn's nominations? Are they deserved? And what about the nomination for Worst Screen Couple?!
