She's not actually being mean though. honest.
The 18-year-old singer told Digital Spy: “I think through being on the show you're very much protected."
“You're cotton-wooled and as much as I want Jessie to be a big part of my career, I think it's also time I start working hard and prove to myself that when I put my mind to something I can do it.”
No, we’re not sure that being ‘cotton-wooled’ is an actual thing either, but we get her point.
Becky added: “I think it's time that Jessie steps back and I try and take the reins and make something of myself by myself."
We can see that Becky isn’t trying to be bitchy AT ALL, and just wants to be successful in her own right, but will Jessie see it that way?
Becky failed to be voted through to the final of the BBC talent show on Sunday night, losing out to her fellow Team Jessie member, Vince Kidd.
But she’s not doing a Ruth-Ann and blaming her mentor though.Speaking about her slow-tempo song choice, Corinne Bailey Rae’s ‘Like a Star’ Becky admitted to Digital Spy:
"Initially I wasn't happy, I tend to do the upbeat songs and maybe kind of hide behind [them]. I like upbeat tempo songs because that is a part of my personality"
"But Jessie's like, 'Look, I also know there's another side. You are actually really calm and collected and have that emotional side to you, so how'd you feel about singing this song?'
"So I went for it and I'm totally glad I did because I felt like I wanted to give the public something that is completely different... that was definitely the right thing for me."
What do you think, is Becky right to want to make it on her own, or should she be accepting Jessie’s help?
