UH OH, WE WOULDN'T WANT TO GET ON THE WRONG SIDE OF UNCLE SIMON.
A show insider told The Daily Star: “Jessie has signed on the dotted line and will definitely be back for another series.
“She did find some of it tougher than she expected but the positives outweighed the negatives so she’s chosen to come back.
“Now she knows what to expect, Jessie is determined to enjoy it more next year, so she’s already excited about getting started.”
Wahey. If Jessie really is returning to the talent show, it’ll be the first good news producers of the programme have heard in a while.
Ratings steadily dropped throughout the series, winner Leanne Mitchell failed to make the top 40 with her debut single - and it’s just been announced that many dates on The Voice UK Live Tour have been axed due to poor ticket sales.
Nicht Gut, as they say in Germany. (We think. Our German is a little rusty.)
Jessie’s alleged return to The Voice coincides with Simon Cowell's rather harsh-sounding comments about the star. Well, alleged comments.
Supposedly, Si was fuming after the J-meister described The X Factor as ‘gimmicky’ and swore he’d: ‘never work with Jessie again.’
A source told The Mirror: "Simon used to really rate Jessie, both as an artist and as a person. Now he can't stand her.
"He thinks her exploits during The Voice have killed off all credibility she had, not least when she slagged him off in interviews.
"Similarly, producers were livid about the comments she made about The X Factor, when she claimed the programme was gimmicky. She had performed on the show so everyone is fuming.
"Simon will never work with Jessie again. And the show's execs feel she has made her BBC bed and must now lie in it. She wanted to plug her new single on this year's X Factor but Simon has said 'no'."
Seems a bit drastic, no? Actually, what we’re most interested in is what a ‘BBC bed’ looks like.
What do you think – are you pleased Jessie may be making a return to The Voice?
