As in, they've made formal complaints. HA.
The Harry Potter films and The Woman in Black are very different. One follows a teenage wizard as he battles to save the world from evil, while the other – well, scares the bejeezus out of anyone who watches it.
Yet it seems many younger Harry Potter fans desperate to see Daniel in action once again didn’t quite realize just how terrifying The Woman in Black would be – prompting their parents to complain to the authorities.
No, not the police, that would be ridiculous. Imagine that 999 call.
In fact, these parentals lodged their complaints that the film was ‘too scary’ with The British Board of Film Classification. Serious stuff.
The BBFC has received 120 complaints arguing that the film should have been rated as a 15, rather than a 12A.
A BBFC spokesman told The Daily Telegraph that viewers had ‘certain expectations’ about films starring Daniel, and found The Woman in Black ‘too scary.’
We don’t blame them, it’s fricking terrifying. Still, we kind of knew that. You know, from the adverts…and the trailer… and the poster…and the name….
What do you think, should Harry Potter fans have realized the film makes Vodemort look like a cuddly teddy bear?
