Probably a good idea when it’s your own show, matey.
One of the weirdest news stories this week was definitely the clip of Angus T Jones, star of Two and a Half Men, labeling the show that made him a star as ‘filth’.
Just two years after the show saw it’s leading actor Charlie Sheen have an absolute mental psycho breakdown, Angus appeared on a video for a Christian group urging Two and a Half Men viewers to stop watching the show.
He stated that his own character Jake (he's the half man in the title y'know), “means nothing” and is “a none existant character”.
ERMMM… WHAT. Anyone else thinking that this show might have a spell cast on it to turn all its actors into crazies? His rant then went into full throttle...
"I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth… Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you'll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch."
But today, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Angus released an apology for his outburst, calling the show an “extraordinary opportunity”, and saying that the cast are like “an extension of my family”.
We don’t know what’s going on in this guy’s head, but if the show is really that bad, us Sugarscape writers will gladly take the millions of dollars he’s earnt from it off his hands. Cos we’re well nice like that.
Anyone else mega confused by this whole tale?
