Are the Yanks set to take over the Big Brother house?
It's January, which means it's time to take down all our awesome office decorations (can we keep the tinsel fountain though, please?) - and speculate about which crop of celebs will be 'doing' Big Brother.
This year the rumour mill seems to have a bit of an American theme, because aswell as the usual gang of Z-listers, ex-soap stars and 'celebs' even our parents have forgotten about, there's a trio of Yanks said to be entering the house.
Lindsay Lohan and The Hills couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, to be exact.
Speculation grew after all three were spotted arriving in London this week, and despite various publicist types denying that they will be involved in the show, it's thought to be pretty much certain that Li-Lo and the Pratts will be moaning in the diary room/dressed up as chickens (probably) for a task very soon.
CBB host Brian Dowling spoke to Now magazine about the possibility of Heidi and Spencer entering the famous house (dear lord we hope Spenny brings his crystals) admitting he would 'love' to see them on the show.
"I would love to see them in the house," he said. "I watched The Hills and they're so crazy. It's like they would do almost anything to get some attention."
What, like get 10 plastic surgeries in one day, pretend to split up, get photographed for playboy, carry round said copy of playboy everywhere, become a crystal wielding beardy man? THAT SORT OF THING BRIAN?
Also rumoured to be just hours away from becoming a housemate is X Factor's Rylan Clark, someone else Brian is keen to see on the telly box.
He explained: "'If you were describing a really fun housemate, you'd say loud, camp and boisterous, which he is. I also want his stomach because he can wear crop tops. I can't."
Well, it's as good a reason as any, we suppose.
Former EastEnders actress Gillian Taylforth, Neighbours star Ryan Moloney (TOADFISH!) and jockey Frankie Dettori are also said to be possible contestants this year.
Will you be watching when the line-up is revealed tonight at 9pm, on Channel 5?
