featuring Cassie, Cook and Effie. WOOO.
Any hardcore Skins fans like us who’ve been there since the beginning, and remember the first E4 trailers with The Gossip playing in the background of a crazy party *swishy nostalgia noise*, will be MEGA excited to hear that filming is under way for three very special episodes which will say goodbye to the show for good. We need closure, people.
The three part series will feature a trio of eps, entitled ‘Skins Pure’ which will be Cassie’s episode, ‘Skins Rise’ which will be Cook’s episode and ‘Skins Fire’ which will be Effy’s episode.
Recognise that blonde hair? HEY CASSIE. Jack O'Connell (Cook/the one that went out with Tulisa for a bit) has been sharing a few teaser twitpics, like a snap of his dressing room and his famous COOK tattoo to get us all hyped up. And it worked.
According to channel 4, the final instalments of the 6 season drama will be ‘new territory; more adult, more compromising’. Sounds intense. We cannot WAIT.
Brief summaries of each episode have been released by Channel 4, so don’t read these if you don’t fancy a mild spoiler or two, but you should cause they’ll just get you mega excited. Trust.
Skins Pure: Cassie is adrift, alone and invisible in London, trying to make sense of her life. Slowly she realises that someone is following her. Cassie turns towards the unknown. A strange and poignant friendship is carved out of mutual loneliness, but can it survive exposure to the real world?
Kind of disappointed she’s not married to Sid and have lots of hippie babies, but still sounds AMAZE.
Skins Rise: Cook has a job delivering drugs to Manchester Revellers. When he is asked to help his employer's girlfriend find a house and finds that he is irresistibly attracted to her, he sets off a train of events which will lead him into a world of savage revenge and a confrontation with his own violent past.
We are mainly excited for this one tbh. Purely so we can perve over Jack O’Connell for a good hour or so.
Skins Fire: Effy has a dead end job as a receptionist for a leading London Hedge Fund. But as she stumbles across crucial financial information relating to a troubled deal and embarks on an affair with her wealthy boss, she finds out that she has bitten off more than she can chew. Her flatmate Naomi tries to stop Effy from ruining her life, but Effy cannot be reached; until tragedy strikes.
AGH NO, not tragedy. Always the tragedy.
Skins Season 7 is due to be aired in the spring this year. Someone invent a time machine so we can speed that up, yeah?
Well Jack O'Connell is DEFFO excited. Are you excited for this? OF COURSE YOU ARE.
