The latest project from Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. Ooh.
Exciting news for all you Victoria Justice fans out there today - because the former Nickelodeon star has been cast as the lead in a new MTV show, 'Eye Candy'. Ooh, ahh, and wahoo.
Adapted from a novel by R.L Stine, the programme - still in the pilot stages at the moment - is the latest project from Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, and is said to star Victoria as a 'tech savvy' college student.
The Wrap reports that her character will decide to spice up her love life with a bit of online dating, only to discover that there's a potential serial killer using the site to scout out future victims. Dark.
Determined to catch him, the show will focus on Victoria's attempts to snare him, using her techno wizzadry and various other skills. So just a bit different from Victorious, then.
"Victoria Justice is exactly someone we want to be in business with," MTV programming president Susanne Daniels said.
"Not only does she resonate with our audience, she has a huge fan base and is extremely talented. We are very lucky to have her."
Well this is all very exciting, isn't it? Sounds like a cross between Veronica Mars and Dexter. What do you reckon, will you be watching this one if it makes its way to our TV screens?
Eye Candy is adapted from the novel of R.L. Stine and is yet to receive a premiere date.
