If they taught this in maths, we'd be A LOT more interested

Here's how it works. Use the chart below to find the corresponding numbers for each letter of your crush’s first and last name. Then add the numbers up to get your crush's personality number. If the two numbers add to more than 9 then take the first number and second number and add those up until you get a single digit. EG, if your crush's name is Zed Smith (8 + 5 + 4 + 1 + 4 + 9 + 2 +8 = 41) add 4 + 1 to get 5.

Number 1s
Powerful types with LOADS of ambition. Leaders not followers, they love you to hang onto their every word. Though if it’s boring, we say sack it off and go home.

Number 2s
Friendly and caring types (aw) who are sometimes taken advantage of. 2s make sweet boyfs but can be frustrating as they’re rubbish decision-makers. Argh!

Number 3s
3s can be fake, but mainly because they’re desperate to impress. The best way to pull a 3 is to act every bit as a confident and in control as them. Match: met.

Number 4s
Shallow? 4s can be on the look-obsessed side. But often it’s masking insecurity, so some flattery will go down a treat. Now he can shut up about his bloomin’ hair.

Number 5s
You’ll mainly find 5s outdoors, where they’re busy being all thoughtful. They like girls who are grounded and natural… that’ll be a no to the fake tan then.

Number 6s
Homely 6 types love having a solid base, and are all about relationships - so half your work is done! Be yourself and you can’t go wrong.

Number 7s
While 7s aren’t party types, they’ll def be the centre of the friendship group. For a reason though – they work very hard to be good mates. So get in with them.

Number 8s
Bless 8s – they’re so generous with their compliments you’ll feel super special. Just be on your guard – you could be the sixth girl today to get that compliment.

Number 9s
9s like to be seen as a deep-thinking, creative types who don’t follow the crowd. They make amazing, romantic boyfriends who LOVE TO TALK.

Top tip: People with the same number are often a bit <too> similar (yawns).
