When we saw 90210’s Jessica Lowndes looking totally stunning with her striking take on the smoky eye look we knew it was one that we would be trying for ourselves, we just love the balance of glam, sultry and party princess that the look gives.

So we asked our lovely friends Dani Guinsberg and Jennie Roberts hair and makeup artists from The Session School to give us their expert tips on creating this gorgeous look.

To achieve Jessica’s stunning eyes Dani recommends:

“Start by lining the eyes with a black kohl pencil. On the top lid draw a thicker line taking care to apply it as close to the base of the lashes as possible to add more depth to the look. Next, using a smudge stick diffuse the colour by gently rubbing with upwards strokes towards the crease of the eye. Using the same stick, smudge the pencil on the lower lashes to soften the line.
