Err, half-naked, thrusty men in the actual flesh? Yeah, we're on board with that.
We’ve been raving about Magic Mike for quite some time now (if you haven’t seen it yet - WHY NOT? ) so when we heard that Channing Tatum, wants to produce a stage version of the stripper movie - well, we actually did a little jig in excitement.
Channing told Entertainment Weekly that he’s a “huge fan of the stage” and has been working on the adaptation with Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh and writer Reid Carolin.
Well, we’re huge fans of seeing men naked and dancing – so it works out well for everyone really, doesn't it?
Chanbag also revealed it was while filming Magic Mike that the idea of creating a live stage show was born.
“Matt Bomer started singing some of the songs while he was onstage, and he was like, ‘This would kill as a musical,’” he said. “That cemented it for me.
“I’d love the challenge. I’m a huge fan of stage,” he added, but admitted that he doesn’t think he’ll be starring this time, BOOO.
“if it’s a musical, I’d need a lot of singing classes. I think there’s probably people who are better at it than I am,” he said.
OK they might be better at singing, Channing – but will they have your MAHOOSIVE beautiful biceps? We don’t think so.
Reid Carolin chipped in: “The musical will be about walking into the club and surrendering yourself to that world for a night.
“We want it to be a place where women can scream at the dancers and throw money.”
WE WANT THAT TOO. So much.
Silly question – but would you go and see Magic Mike LIVE?
