The nominations for the 2013 British Academy Film Awards were officially announced this morning, by none other than Jeremy Irvine (SWOON) and Alice Eve.

Fresh from being nominated for a Golden Globe, Jennifer Lawrence has the chance of picking up another gong, after her performance in Silver Linings Playbook earned her a nomination in the Leading Actress category.

Her co-star Bradley Cooper was also recongized, and made the shortlist for Leading Actor alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) and Hugh Jackman (Les Miserables).

The Supporting Actress category sees Anne Hathaway nominated for her role in Les Mis, while The Olsen twins' fast-becoming-more-famous-than-them sister Elizabeth has been nominated for the Rising Star award.

Overall, Steven Spielberg's Lincoln leads the BAFTA pack by scoring a total of ten nominations, closely followed by Ang Lee's Life of Pi and Tom Hooper's Les Miserables, which are both up for nine awards.

Meanwhile, Brit flick Skyfall (the highest-grossing film in UK history!) picked up a very respectable eight nominations.
