Because 'I'm a fancy candle' is always appropriate
It's fair to say that One Direction have got their fair share of Twitter followers - you know, just a few million each - so considering they've been dishing some advice on how to behave online, it's probably time to take notes.
But while they're probably not going to help you break into the double figures on Twitter (it took us literal MONTHS), they *have* handed out some handy tips to stop you getting in trouble when posting stuff late at night and in a sugar-induced daze.
Harry, who's a big fan of being as confusing as possible with his tweets, told We Love Pop magazine that over-sharing is a bad idea, explaining: "You just have to be aware and not share too much. Tweet as if your grandma is going to read it!"
And Nialler seemed to agree, adding: "That's it. I once heard: 'Don't tweet anything that you wouldn't stand on a chair and say to your mother."
Understandably, the band's most totes controvotes tweeters Zayn and Louis didn't have much advice to hand out - but if they had we assume it'd involve things like 'don't use a sexually transmitted disease as an insult' etc etc.
But now that the lads have given you some handy advice for your next Twitter sesh, go ahead and watch them tell you the best way to get them to follow you. ESSENTIAL VIEWING, REALLY.
So what do you reckon? Are you a bit of a Captain Sensible when it comes to tweeting? Or do you prefer being a big ol' sassypants? Let us know...
