Here's some top tips from BeatBullying on how to deal with bullies!

  • It’s not your fault

Remember it’s not your fault if you are being bullied. Do not ever think that there is something wrong with you or that you have done something to deserve being bullied.

  • Don’t suffer in silence

It’s important to talk to someone and tell them you are being bullied. Try speaking to a teacher in your break time to voice your fears in confidence. They will be able to help and you’ll be surprised how quickly the situation can be resolved.

  • Speak to your parents or guardians

Your parents/guardians will want to know if you are worried about bullies and they will listen to you and your problems. Ask them to speak to your teacher at school if you don’t feel comfortable doing so yourself.

  • CyberMentors on tap

If you don’t feel like you can speak to someone face-to-face then you can contact a CyberMentor at www.cybermentors.org.uk where you can talk through your worries online. You can talk to a young person who will listen to your problems and offer help and support.

It's not just the victims that get help, BeatBullying will also speak to bullies and help them break that viscious cycle. Don't forget to head to Cybermentors for more help and advice. Comments please...
