Now we happen to think that this is a grand idea...
When we write stories about Taylor Lautner we like to focus on his rock hard and abs and all-round sexiness, which fear not, we will be doing in this story, it’s just that we’ll be taking a slightly different slant seeing as the actor’s assets have now been roped into a lawsuit.
Lawsuit? we hear you cry, yes lawsuit. We’re not just making things up for attention.
Earlier this month Taylor filled for breach of contract against a car dealership who failed in deliver a $300,000 trailer on time for him to use on his most recent film set and when it arrived was deemed unsafe.
Now the dealer, Brent McMahon, must either be really broke or have taken law lessons from cartoons as he has offered to challenge Taylor to a push-up contest to settle the case. OK then.
Now we’re guessing that this Brent fella was thinking that Taylor would be endeared by the quirkiness of his offer and being the good natured soul that he is accept the challenge. But oh no. Ooohhh no.
Taylor’s attorney Robert Barta has issued a statement saying: “McMahon RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place.”
He then added that if a $40,000 donation was made to a charity of Taylor’s choice then the lawsuit would be dropped.
Er yeah, it looks like the ol’ money thing seems to be the issue here so we wouldn’t get your hopes up too soon Team Taylor.
Shame though because as much as we admire and respect the firm hand of the law (just in case anyone important is reading), seeing Taylor compete in a push-up contest may just about make our lives.
In fact Taylor if you’re around, do you fancy popping into the office and showing us how it’s done. With your top off mind, we don’t want you getting too hot.
Do you think Taylor is right to refuse to take part in this contest or do you think that he should be a sport and do it anyway?
