And he ain't complaining about either.
One Direction scoring a number one album in the States was a pretty big deal in itself. We’re sure that day and all the facts and figures are etched in your brain, but still we can’t quite believe it all.
But never mind us, what on earth does Niall Horan think about his music being a hit Stateside? It is his album of course.
Lucky old Heat magazine got to speak to Niall and asked him if any of One Direction cried when they found out they’d got to Number One.
He revealed: “We had a few days off, so we weren’t in the same place at the same time.
"I was in the back of a cab on my way to buy me and Liam tickets for a [New York] Knicks basketball game, and my manager called me up and said, “It’s close, we’ve got the numbers…” and was holding it back, a bit like a Simon Cowell moment!
“Then he said “But you’ve got Number One,” and I just screamed down the phone and frightened the life out of the cab driver!
"I had to explain the situation, because he looked at me like, “Get out of my cab!” But I was shocked and shaking.”
He also told Heat about one of the craziest things to happen in American: “We’ve had a few flashers – but we’re not encouraging or deterring it!”
Maybe the American fans are taking a leaf out of the UK Directioners, but they go for flinging bras on stage instead.
And anyway Niall, it's all good, we know you blinking love a flasher.
