Probably explains why he bloody loves a bargain
Justin Bieber might be 18 and fairly loaded, but he's still not in charge of all his money. Probably so he doesn't lose his head completely and blow it all on a vat of fondue. Or a tattoo of a vat of fondue.
To be fair, if we had the sort of fortune El Biebo is rumoured to have, we'd probably blow it all on a spacecraft manned by penguins. But apparently the Biebs' parents still look after some of his cash for him, so that probably explains his lack of crazy purchases so far.
"Normally I make good, sound decisions," he told Top of the Pops. "You don't have to worry about me. My parents trust me."
But although a lot has changed since he hit 18, the Biebs won't be rolling about cackling in a room full of gold coins. At least not for the moment.
"I don't have an allowance any more, which is good," he said. "I don't have access to all my money, but I have a bank account so I can get money out.
"I grew up without much money, so now that I don't have to look at the bill when I buy dinner, it's cool. I still look at the price tags on clothes though. I'm still cheap like that.
Straight down Oxfam for a rummage in the bargain bins then Biebs?
We'll meet you behind the half-price shoe bin in 10.
What do you think about all this? Think it's fair his money is kept in a trust fund?
