Basically, stay on TayTay's good side
Taylor Swift's been in the business of teasing the hell out of her newest - and as yet untitled - album, most recently talking about how it's a bloody reinvention. So, fair warning if it's full of ska punk jams.
But besides being all mysterious and giving hardcore Swifty fans a bit of anxiety over whether we'll be dealing with a Miley Cyrus style transformation in 2014, TayTay's reassured everyone that her songs still call out all those idiots that do her wrong. CAN WE GET AN AMEN?
Yep, Taylor's been chatting about her latest record to Entertainment Weekly and explained that she still wants to keep those diary type lyrics that make us all feel like we're having a gossip-filled sleepover with our best pal. Who happens to be Taylor Swift. (We wish).
Swifty told the mag: "Describing it is difficult. At the core of what I do, it’s always going to revolve around a confessional storyline and filling my fans in on what my life has actually been."
"It’s become this lifeline between me and my friends and they know that no matter what they read in some magazine, they’re going to hear the actual accounting of it when the album comes out.
"I’ve always written songs for the same reason - to sort through my emotions. As I grow up, the lessons I learn in love and relationships and how we treat each other are hopefully maturing - hopefully."
This is pretty much the best news we've heard all year. We cannot WAIT to hear Taylor dissing her latest lad's bad behaviour and making fun of hipsters. Can it be 2014 now please?
Well, what do you make of this news? Do you love TayTay's 'confessional' style of writing? Or do you think she's a bit too open with her lyrics? Let us know after this vid please and thank you...
