Guitar twanging Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong arrived about a year ago and since then they’ve been the most buzzed about band in Britain.

The funky fivesome have already released three singles since they launched, but sadly they’ve called off the release of their debut album this month, boo hoo! Their camp has blamed it on not sounding enough like the band’s new sound or something.

If you’re a fan of the Kooks and One Night Only then it’s very likely that their tunes are going to catch your ears with their infectious noise. Joe Lean and the Jing Jong have created quite a jingle since their tunes appeared on the airwaves.

With tongue twister names like Joe Lean, Tom D, Dom O'Dare, Panda and Bummer Jong it comes as no surprise to discover that the band are notorious for being a bit strange.

After all how often have you heard of an indie band that claims to write grime songs for Indonesian folk music? What! It’s all a bit muso for us.
