VV Brown is set to be one of the coolest singers around this year, and we just can't stop bopping away to her debut single, Crying Blood!

VV Brown is the brightest new star on the retro music scene and we're already addicted to her unique mix of vintage soul, 60's girl group harmonies and quirky indie.  

Northamption-born VV was discovered singing in a gospel choir and was immediately signed to a record label at just 19 and was shipped off to L.A to perform as a backing singer for Madonna and Pussycat Dolls.

But VV didn't want to be just another typical R'n'B singer, so returned to London and started writing her own blues songs with a one-string guitar (and we're so glad she did).

Her influences may include Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Wino and Elvis, but VV's definitely got her own thing going on.  With her fearless monochrome wardrobe, rockabilly quiff and cool dance routines, she could become our new style muse.

Her debut single Crying Blood is everywhere at the moment, but we're going to have to sit and wait patiently for her first album, Travelling Like The Light - it's not out 'til May!
