Alexandra and Leona are going to fight it out for the Number 1 spot this year. Let battle commence...

Alexandra Burke's debut single, Hallelujah, broke records as the first British female solo artist to sell more than 1 million singles, but it'll be a while before we hear anything else from the X Factor winner.

Initially set for a March album release, Alexandra's debut album has reportedly been pushed back and now will not be available to buy until late November.

Simon Cowell's Syco label want Alexandra to record the best album possible, giving her the best possible chance of achieving the same chart success as Leona.

Although the same tried formula didn't work as well with Leon Jackson, it is thought that Alex's talent alone will carry her through. We reckon it will too, sorry Leon! Now we're sure the big wigs at Simon's record label know what they're doing, but Novemebr is a whole 10 months away! We can't wait that long before we hear anything new from Alex!

But, and this is a big BUT, there is one problem. The release date for Alex's debut album clashes with Leona, who plans to release her second album around the same time! So they will be in direct competetion with each other! Simon can't be that silly, can he?

Can you wait until November to hear more from Alex? Do you think delaying it is the right decision? Will she be as big as Leona? Leave your comments...
