The X Factor has reached the ripe old age of ten years old, having taken over our televisions and general lives for a DECADE, but rather than whacking out the birthday cake and party hats, the show has been celebrating by bringing together contestants from this year’s season, and winners from the past.

This year’s finalists were given the opportunity to meet face to face with some of the show’s biggest success stories, to talk about the effect the show has had on their career since winning, and to have a chat about their performances this week. Errr, we hear that Steve Brookstein was busy washing his hair.

This weekend will see the six finalists doing their thang with songs sung by former X Factor winners and runners up, including One Direction, Little Mix and James Arthur, and ahead of their big performances, they’ve been chatting with previous stars of the show.

Tamera Foster hung out with the one and only Olly Murs to talk topping the charts and wearing super tight trousers. Seeing as Olly’s had a whole truckload of smash hits and some best selling albums since coming second to Joe McElderry, he probably had a good bit of advice to give to Tamera who’s just starting out on her X Factor journey. Ooh, that was a bit deep and meaningful, wasn’t it?

Meanwhile, Luke Friend got cosy with Shayne Ward, who we’d forgotten we used to fancy LIKE MAD when he won the second season of the show. Although Shayne’s disappeared into the pop abyss a little to try his hand at musical theatre instead, his X Factor single That’s My goal sold a MENTAL 313,000 copes on it’s first day of sales. Wowza, Lukey boy, take note.

While Luke and Tamera did their big-wigging, Sam Bailey paired up with Leona Lewis, and Nicholas McDonald hung out with Joe McElderry, while Leon Jackson and Matt Cardle watched some Come Dine With Me with a cup of tea.

N'awhh, it's making us all warm and mushy inside, not to mention EXCITED for the big performances on Saturday. Reckon these are matches made in X Factor heaven? Which X Factor winners would you want to meet the most?
