GOOD NEWS, GUYS - Coasts' debut album is finally out today/this week/basially whenever you happen to be reading this and our earholes couldn't be happier about the situation. So, to celebrate the fact Chris, Liam, James, David and Ben now have sixteen shiny new songs out there (if you buy the deluxe edition, which you really should) we thought we'd catch up with 'em for a chinwag.
Well we spoke to Chris, anyways. These things always get a bit hectic if you do 'em all. No favouritism, like.
With the album already top five over on that there iTunes we talked everything from favourite seaside spots to their songs and that. All very high brow as you've probably come to expect.
'Ello, Chris. First off, can you give us a fact about yourself literally nobody knows?
I have slight OCD when it comes to tidiness. Everything has to have its place. Other than that I'm pretty chilled out.
How does it feel to *finally* have your album out there?
It feels strange and exciting and freeing. We've worked really hard on this album and we want as many people to hear it as possible.
Out of interest, what's your favourite UK coastal town and why?
Liam lives in Brighton at the moment, which is a really nice place. A few of us used to go on holiday to Cornwall as kids and so I guess it would be somewhere down there, like Penzance.
You lot have a song called 'As Long As I Need You,' but what's the one thing you can't live without and why?
At the moment its an elastic hair band, which I've always got on my wrist. My hair is getting long and sometimes it just needs tying up.
Okay, now this 'Modern Love' malarky - what's the most romatic thing you've ever done Christopher?
I'm not much of a romantic, although I do try. You can't beat a nice bunch of flowers though.
INVENTIVE. Lions or wolves? Pick your fave.
My star sign is Leo so I would probably have to say Lions. They are pretty incredible creatures. I like watching nature programmes too and would love to go to a nature reserve in Africa.
Finally, Chris, why should we all download and/or stream the album in five words?
We will love you forever.
What d'ya make of that, then? Listened to the album yet? QUICK DO IT, it's awesome. Oh, and don't forget to tweet us over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below. Cheers.
