WE SHOULD'VE SEEN THE SIGNS. The snapbacks, the beat boxing, that Big Payno remix of 'Drag Me Down' with LunchMoney Lewis. Of *course* One Direction's Liam Payne's being hailed an 'amazing rapper' by people who've heard his solo songs.
So basically you know how Liam's been in the studio laying down some sick beats (are we allowed to say that or is Taylor Swift gonna sue us?) with Juicy J and TM 88 off of 808 Mafia? Well apparently some music industry insider-types who've heard the tracks reckon he's been hiding some super-freaky-fly rapping skills from us over the years.
According to TMZ Liam's worked on '5 tracks' with Juicy and TM 88, and 'there's a few where he both sings and raps.' But the news that'll Drake quakin' in his little boots? Apparently Payno just freestyles his feelings; no need for pen and paper.
TMZ claims: 'Everyone who's heard the material says Liam's an unbelievable rapper. He's already got one up on a lot of MCs because he didn't need a pen or pad to write down his verses - he opted for freestyle.'
Anyone else just having flashbacks to his Zayn rap from the Take Me Home tour at this point? He *can* bloody freestyle, but never did we think he'd actually make it his thing. In further news someone reckons his 'formula of singing the hook and rapping the verse sounds a lot like some guy named Drake.'
