Kesha's currently unable to release new music due to legal limitations; but when her Dr. Luke court hearing was postponed she decided to chuck a cover of 'Amazing Grace' on the internet as she prepares to find out the fate of her music career. Oh, and it's awesome.
So here's the deal - Kesha filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke, executive producer of her Animal and Warrior albums and Cannibal EP, back in October 2014 with allegations of sexual abuse. While the court hearing was due to take place on January 26th it's now been put back to February 19th due to 'problems with the weather.'
The singer's currently locked in a contract with Dr. Luke's Sony Music imprint and unable to record new music until a judge rules otherwise. What she *is* allowed to do, though, is record covers. 'Cos she actually has a voice, y'know?
Explaining the postponed court hearing on Instagram, Kesha said: "I love everyone. Thank you for your support. Due to travel problems with the weather it's been postponed until feb 19" [sic], before chucking a bloody lovely rendition of 'Amazing Grace'on the interweb.
It's essentially about as far removed from 'TiK ToK' as you could imagine and it'll remind y'all just how talented this girl is. Wanna get your ears round it? Here ya go, honey:
