The easy, breazy, tropical pop bop that is Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez's duet 'We Don't Talk Anymore' is our jam rn; and if you've been wondering what the frick it's about our Charlie has some answers. Yup - he reckons it's about still being 'obsessed' with someone you've just split up with and hinted Selena felt that way about Justin Bieber when the track came about.
Well he didn't actually mention Biebs by name, but he ALLUDED to it. So yeah.
Chatting about the tune, Charlie said: "As for lyrical sentiment, I think it fits so well for her to be on [the song] because everyone knows what she went through.
"And I think everyone's had those relationships where you're obsessed with that one person, but then you break it up peacefully, but it's changed. You can't talk to them like friends anymore. You can say you want to remember friends, but it's easier said than done. It's heartbreaking. 'We Don't Talk Anymore' is basically the conversation a month after that type of breakup."
Essentially it isn't confirmation Selena was actually 'obsessed' with Justin, but there's a story in there *shrugs*. LET'S LISTEN TO IT AGAIN.
