Oh, we bloody love the little bromance 5 Seconds of Summer and All Time Low have. We even, like, low key imagine they create Taylor Swift and her girl squad's 'Bad Blood' music video behind closed doors in the studio and stuff. That level of friendship. And now Jack Barakat of drumming fame's been fangirling over the lads all over again, saying they 'breathe new life' into ATL.
Oh, *and* he even reckons there's a possibility of a 5SOS and All Time collab at some point in the future; which let's face it could just be the best news of all time ever.
Chatting to Maximum Pop, Jack said: "It's just a weird feeling and it's something you never expect, and you never think about. Whenever we were touring with Good Charlotte, and we really looked up to them, they'd say 'One day you're going to be that band that people are looking up to,' and I was like 'yeah, whatever, I don't believe that.'
"The whole thing about bands like 5 Seconds and The Vamps and the younger generation of pop rockery stuff is that they're just so excited to be around bands that they grew up listening. They're so fun and they're not jaded, and I'm not saying that we are, but it's refreshing to be around bands that are so young and successful. It makes us feel more energetic and breathes new life into us."
Cute, adorable and other such adjectives.
Discussing the prospect of a collab at some point, Jack added: "I don't see why not. We're close friends and we play similar types of music, but we have not set plans to."
Well can MAKE set plans to please, pal? That'd be great. Cheers.
Now this all got us thinking - since they love each other so frickin' much, we should probably take a look back at a few times the boys have fangirled over each other. It's happened a *lot*, y'see?
1. Remember when they interviewed each other and 5SOS wore white robes and it was all just brilliant?
2. And, like, that time Jack Gaskarth wore a 5SOS t-shirt on the Future Hearts tour? Done that a few times, too.
3. When Alex said it was 'awesome' to 'help guide' 5SOS, though. THE FEELS.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "They're such good dudes and I see a lot of us in them - they remind me of us at that age, so it's awesome to help guide them and pass the torch." Cutieeeee pie.
4. That time we chatted to ATL about working with the boys, anyone? Let's relive that.
5. When Michael crashed the stage for 'Dear Maria' and just YAAAAS.
We adore each and every one of them.
What d'ya make of that, then? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, please and a-thaaaank you.
