If you were about yesterday, you'll know that Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation have filed a casual $2.3 million lawsuit against Rita Ora against her in a bid to 'release' her from her contract. Well now it seems she's getting a teeny, tiny bit of revenge on Instagram; posting something super sassy that might - just *might* - be aimed at her boss. Agh.
Rita initiallyfiled a lawsuit against the label back in December of last year, citing 'irrevocable damages' to their relationship - and now she's advised us all to 'live our own lives' and essentially not give a shite what anyone else says. That's the top and bottom of it, really.
OOH, could it be a sly swipe at Jay? Quite poss, tbh.
Posting a well pouty selfie with a pretty strong statement, Rita captioned her pic: "Big big kiss to the ones living there own lives this year. It's yours not anyone else. Believe in yourself, now is the time too #onmykhaledFlex" [sic], so there you go.
Basically Roc Nation claims it signed Rita in 2008 when she was unknown and invested millions in her career. In return she had to deliver 5 albums, but the label says it only got one in the shape of her debut album, which was released in 2012. TMZ report that the point of the lawsuit is to gain money back, as the label believe they have spent more than $3.2million on marketing her second LP.
What d'ya make of that, then? Is Rita hitting back at Jay with her Insta? Tweet us over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, please and a-thank you.
