Here at Sugarscape we're always looking for a different angle to cover the goings on of this funny spherical thing we call our planet. We don't wanna churn out any old bullshit, y'see? And this time we think we might've outdone ourselves in the originality stakes, not gonna lie.
So basically Little Mix and Jason Derulo chucked out their 'Secret Love Song' music video but hours ago; and while much office discussion was based around their flawless vocals, winter wardrobes and why the frick Jason's apartment is seemingly in actual the middle of the River Thames we thought we'd take one aspect and run with it.
That aspect? Tower Bridge. And when we say 'run with it' we mean we've compiled the definitive list of the top five music videos featuring bridges of recent times. This is a thing that's happening.
D'ya know what? Shall we just do this, 1 being the best and the others being runners up? FOR THE SAKE OF JOURNALISM AND OUR OWN SANITY? Let's.
5. Fergie - 'London Bridge'
Points deducted for her using Tower Bridge as a substitute for London Bridge. Naht the same thing, hunnay.
4. The Saturdays - 'Not Giving Up'
'Where's the bridge?' we hear you cry. Er, babes - it was Frankie Sandford's first music video following her marriage to footballer Wayne Bridge in a private ceremony in July 2014.
FRANKIE BRIDGE, ladies and gentleman.
3. Spice Girls - '2 Become 1'
Basically an absolute tune and probably the only time you're ever gonna see Victoria Beckham hanging metres above multiple speeding vehicles while sat next to Sporty Spice in a green gilet. Unless this 20-year reunion malarky materialises. Above a motorway.
The bridge in question is a CGI version of New York's Brooklyn Bridge, just FYI. Maybe this very music video is the meaning behind Posh's first born son's name? WHO KNOWS?
2. Little Mix featuring Jason Derulo - 'Secret Love Song'
Really brilliant and Tower Bridge is arguably almost as well-lit as Jade Thirlwall's close-ups; but there's a reason why this one's in second place...
1. One Direction - 'Midnight Memories'
...IT'S BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T CLIMB ON TOP OF IT LIKE THEY'RE FEARLESS AF. Like One Direction. They did.
This, guys, is why we have a degree in Media Studies *dusts off shoulders*.
What d'ya make of that, eh? Any major bridges we missed? Is this literally our life? Tweet us over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, please. TA.
