Aside from the news they'll perform live on The Late Late Show with James Corden and Michael Clifford's karaoke antics, 5SOS have been behind-the-scenes a lot lately preparing for their Sounds Good Feels Good tour. But now Ashton Irwin's been hanging out at NAMM (the National Association of Music Merchants, innit) talking NEW 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER MUSIC.
Yup - our Ash has been chattin' to Associated Press about everything from the 'Jet Black Heart' music video and John Feldmann to his involvement on the new Andy Black record. Oof, so much goss.
Having a chinwag about the new 5SOS stuff, Ashton said: "We're starting on new stuff now. I just met up with my manager for the first time this year 'cos I've been having a break and we were talking about the new album, new songs, new everything. So it's exciting.
"Haven't written a bar of music yet. [It's gonna be extreme death metal] mixed with some Eagles reference, maybe. Mixing it all together."
Check out Ashton's mouth saying all this and so much more below, if that's your kinda thang.
HOORAY AND HOORAH.
