Self-effacing popstar Jessie J wishes the UK would just see her as 'one of the greatest singers' ever, really. Y'know - like in the same league Whitney Houston and Celine Dion and stuff? That kinda level.
Insisting that she's taken much more seriously as a vocalist across the pond in the USA, Jessie reckons her 'profile' is much bigger over there since they consider her one of the best singers of our generation.
Having a chinwag with Women's Heath UK, Jessie admitted: "It makes me sad. I've done the Grammys, the VMAs...my profile in America is that I'm kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers and I love it.
"I wanna be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitneys, the Beyoncés and Arethas. I go hard because I hope and pray that one day, people look back and go, 'She could really f**king sing, you know'. Which is why I keep going."]
Like, we like 'Price Tag' and 'Bang Bang' and all that; but yeah. Hmm.
What d'ya make of that, then? Is Jessie one of the 'greatest singers'? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, pleeease.
