Not content with nabbing his first ever solo number 1 single in the UK last week, Zayn Malik aka just ZAYN's 'PILLOWTALK' has only gone and debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart across the pond in America. That's, like, something One Direction haven't even managed yet.
Yup - proving that a little boy from Bradford really can go out there and smash it, el Maliko's first Mind of Mine release has become just the 25th song *ever* to debut at number one over there; putting him in the same league as Adele (who managed it with 'Hello' recently) and Elton John.
No big deal at all, really.
'PILLOWTALK' has also found itself at the top of the Digital Songs and Streaming Songs charts (GAH THEY HAVE SO MANY DON'T THEY?), with a casual 267,000 first week downloads and 22.3 million streams over the past seven-or-so days.
That's the fourth largest streaming start in the US ever, btw. Also, just to confuse your brain with more insane numbers 'PILLOWTALK' received 12.7 million on-demand streams and had a radio audience of 17 million or something.
Basically it could be deemed a success. So he celebrated with balloons in some cute joggers. Very Louis Tomlinson, actually.
So yeah, like we said he's now made US history alongside little-known artists Adele and Elton. Cool.
Well done, babes.
