Fans of Viola Beach are campaigning to get the band's single 'Swings & Waterslides' following their tragic deaths in Södertälje, Sweden last weekend.
The Warrington-born indie band comprised of Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin and their manager Craig Tarry all tragically lost their lives when their plunged 25 metres from a highway bridge into a canal in the early hours of last Saturday morning. Following the tragic incident fans are campaigning to get their latest track to number 1 in tribute to the band.
Viola Beach were in Sweden to play the Where is the Music? festival last Friday, and tragically died ahead of their scheduled show in Guildford, Surrey the following day.
In a statement issued by manager Craig Tarry's family via the UK foreign office, they said: "Craig was a warm, loving person who had worked tirelessly to achieve success and follow his dreams within the music industry. He will be sadly missed by his family and his colleagues."
'Swings & Waterslides' is currently at number 3 on UK iTunes following the tragedy.
