It had approximately 47 different titles along the way and seemed to take 84 years to finally be released, which could be the reason why Kanye West's new album The Life of Pablo's said to have cost him a casual $10 million in sales since its release the other day.
Might wanna reach out to Mark Zuckerberg asking for some spare dosh again, eh babes?
So basically a review of estimated pirated downloads from TorrentFreak on Tuesday reckons The Life of Pablo was illegally downloaded over 500,000 times in the first 24 hours of its release alone. The album was the most ripped-off record by bloody miles on torrent site The Pirate Bay; with Rihanna's ANTI shifting previous Billboard number 1 shifting 124,000 proper, legit copies the week before.
You could say Tidal's release strategy for Rihanna's album worked out a bit better, then? Maybe people were put off paying for it after the whole misogynistic Taylor Swift 'bitch' debacle?
What d'ya make of that, then? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box thingy below, please and a-thaaank you. Buh-bye.
