The Bring Me The Horizon boys sort of have a reputation for being pretty damn punk rock; so the fact they ended up trashing Coldplay's table at the NME Awards earlier this week didn't come as the biggest surprise ever. But how did Chris Martin and co. feel about the situation, eh? Well according to Oli Sykes they weren't best pleased; trying to get BMTH kicked out of the ceremony.
The band's frontman reckons they were just trying to 'break down the system' at the bash; admitting the whole debacle's 'proper got out of hand' what with the way everyone's reacted. Oh gahd.
Having a chinwag with The Sun, frontman fella Oli explained: "I was trying to be rock 'n' roll but it was the wrong table, wrong crowd.
"That's the first time you've seen Chris Martin angry. Chris has slagged us off before. Coldplay being mad at you is like your RE teacher being mad at you. You know, your parents aren't even going to care 'cos they know it's s***e. It's f***ing w***. We're trying to break down the system.
"They'd been promised those wine bottles. A chubby guy came round to their table and asked them what they wanted to drink. Chris told them - then I stood on it.
"I was going to try to say sorry, but after his abusive and downright out-of-order reaction, I'm out. They tried to kick us out. It's proper got out of hand."
LET'S RELIVE THE RIDICULOUSNESS OF IT ALL, SHALL WE?
Punk rock af.
