Zayn Malik's just Beyoncé'd/One-Direction-Drag-Me-Downed his second Mind of Mine single 'iT's YoU;' and we're spending the majority of our time listening to it on repeat while trying to memorise how the frick to stylise the bloody title. Couldn't he have just capitalised it at all again like the bloody last one? ANYWAY.
It's safe to say the track's potentially one of the most beuatiful pieces of music ever to have penetrated our oh-so-lucky little lugholes. And if you somehow haven't heard it yet (um, where have you been and what are you playing at?) here's a little rundown of the emotional stages you can expect to experience when you do.
GO LISTEN TO IT. NOW.
He's just a little boy from Bradford and now he's smashin' it. Like, how far's he come from 'Let Me Love You'? It's actual insanity.
2. ACTUAL PHYSICAL PAIN
We get that we're supposed to be discussing the emotional stages, but how can you not feel some kind of dagger to the heart over that 'she don't give a f*** about what I need' lyric?
Should we genuinely be questioning whether or not that high note's even better than the 'You & I' high note? Should we *really* want to pause it to play 'Gotta Be You' and compare the 'youuuu' line?
We're gonna do it anyway. Someone make a mash-up, yeah?
Literally why is it 'iT's YoU'? Are we missing the meaning behind some kinda T-Y-U-based acronym? SOMEONE TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON.
What if the whole Mind of Mine album's so slick and smooth and perfect? We're not even sure that's something we can cope with. The human body isn't equipped.
D'ya know what? It *will* be slick and smooth and perfect *and* it'll be edgy and we're just gonna have to prepare our bodies and minds as best we can for the inevitable. Gah, shall we just listen to it all over again?
What d'ya make of that, then? Give us a tweet to let us know YOUR experiences over @sugarscape or, if you'd rather, drop a comment in the little box thaaaang below. GRACIAS LOVE YA.
