Last year's X Factor was bloody brilliant, was it not? Dancing round the living room with a slice of Domino's in hand to Reggie 'N' Bollie's bops, dramatically lip syncing along to the cat every time Louisa Johnson hit those high notes, the fact we had an excuse not to socialise on a Saturday night. We kinda miss it.
Well now last year's telly talent show lot (well some of 'em, anyway) are off round the country on The X Factor Live 2016 tour; taking some of their most memorable performances from the series and performing 'em to an arena full of fans. No biggie. So what went down at the big O2 Arena show in London, eh? Let's find out.
Basically imagine stepping into your tellybox IRL. The staging was bloody huge and, yeah, sort of like a massively scaled-up version of the studio we saw on our screens every weekend for the latter half of last year. There was fire, there was confetti, there were these huge balloon things a girl next to us managed to nab one of before sadly popping it and scaring the shit out of everyone around us. It was just super impressive, really.
Oh, and there was one of those fancy b-stage things.
Imagine the world's greatest karaoke party and you wouldn't be far off the mark, really. The wannabe popstar-types performed everything from Lauren Murray's sassy af rendition of 'You Don't Own Me' to Reggie 'N' Bollie's 'Who Let the Dogs Out?' It was eclectic to say the least, mate.
What were the best bits, then?
Oh GAHD where do we begin? We'd probably say:
- Reggie 'N' Bollie in general. The arena was LIT, as they say.
- Louisa Johnson's vocals, 'cos SLAAAAY.
- Mason Noise, actually ('Sorry' was a highlight, as was the shirtlessness.)
- Lauren Murray bringing alllll the sass.
- Aforementioned big balloons.
Any bits that weren't so good?
Not gonna sugarcoat it - Louisa Johnson doing winner's single 'Forever Young.' People literally left. Everything else she did was on point though, tbf. Those VOCALS <3
