Because Taylor Swift's Taylor Swift, she's gone and won the Taylor Swift Award for being Taylor Swift; one there's no chance Kanye West can't crash claiming Taylor Swift shouldn't have bagged.
Yup - BMI (Broadcast Music Inc., innit) have named one of their awards after TayTay thanks to her 'incomparable creative and artistic talent and influence on music lovers throughout the world.'
This is the first time an award's been named after a popstar-type since Michael Jackson was given the honour back in 1990 *and* she's only the second person ever to have received it in the 64 years they've been going. No biggie.
BMI said: "Taylor Swift has transformed pop culture through her songs, artistry and indomitable spirit. She has had a profound impact, not only musically, but also through her personal conviction and commitment to create a standard that values and respects music for everyone.
"We felt it appropriate to award Taylor with an honor that is as unique and special as she is."
Taylor's actually won loads of BMI awards over the years for her contributions to country, pop and all that malarky. None of them were actually named after her, though; so this one's a bit special.
What d'ya make of that, then? Half expecting Kanye to pipe up saying 'imma let you finish'? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or something, yeah? Cool cheers.
