Jennifer Lopez has received loads of criticism over her new single 'Ain't Your Mama;' and not even just because it's a bit rubbish. It turns out the Meghan Trainor-penned track, which sets out to defy the well dated stereotype that women stay in 'cooking all day' (what year are we in?), was actually produced by Dr. Luke.
Not such a feminist anthem after all, eh?
As you're probably aware, Dr. Luke's currently in a legal battle with Kesha after she accused him of sexual abuse; and fans are pretty pissed off J.Lo's still working him despite everything that's going down.
Some chose to express their disappointment over the track - which includes lyrics along the lines of 'I ain't gon' do your laundry, I ain't your mama
I ain't your mama, boy, I ain't your mama' - via the medium of REACTION VINES:
Another said: "Can people stop making music with Dr. Luke so I don't have to boycott their music and I'm talking about you J.Lo!!!!!" [sic]. Five exclamation marks. Angry af.
Another took to Twitter to say: "J Lo has the first Dr Luke produced song since @KeshaRose was denied freedom. Not cool Jenny from the block... Not cool #FreeKesha #JLo" [sic].
Check out the track below, if you want some kinda context. It's Dr. Luke, though, so you might not wanna give it the time of day. Up to you.
What d'ya make of that, eh? Bit contradictory? Tweet us over @sugarscape, if you fancy. Cheers.
