Earlier this week we wrote about former X Factor contestant and nan lover Christopher Maloney, who has music that is massive in Japan. Very Regina George of him.
Well. now he's set to face some serious competition in the form of a fellow X Factor alumnus Stevi Ritchie, who's just signed a lucrative record deal with Sony... in Japan.
In fact, his new single 'Come on Come on Come on' (because one Come On is never enough) was released last week over there, and is apparently being very well received.
Stevi said: "I'm really excited to be releasing a single in Japan. I had a lot of fun making the video, and hopefully all you guys in the UK will get to see it as well.
"I'm really overwhelmed and happy to be signed to Sony Japan – Mr Akimoto [who produced the record] is a legend and of course without Simon Cowell's help this wouldn't have happened.
"I can't wait to get back over to Japan this summer, it's an amazing place. I hope everyone loves the single, it's pop and fun and is very much me! Perhaps it might be released here in the UK too, who knows? Watch this space!"
WELL, this is a turn up for the books, isn't it? We're strangely intrigued by the idea of a Malony V Ritchie chart battle.
