Jennifer Lopez came under fire last week over her new single 'Ain't Your Mama;' a song that tries to hammer home loads of feminist values that just so happens to have had input from Dr. Luke. Y'know, the same Dr. Luke Kesha's accused of sexual abuse?
So what does Meghan Trainor - the gal who write the song in the first place - make of it all? Well she doesn't think J.Lo deserves the hate she's been getting over the track; telling Officialcharts.com that claims it undermines feminism are 'ridiculous.'
Chatting about the whole situation, Meghan said: "I texted her the song. And she had no idea. She thought I did it alone, by myself, at my house, which a lot of people would think because I do do that. So I just sent it to her and said 'do you like this song?' and she said 'I love this song, my kid loves this song and he's made me play it five time now so I know it's a hit, when can I cut it?' And I said immediately, whenever you want. I'm glad you like it.
"I felt terrible when she got all the hate for that and I just thought it was ridiculous."
Apparently the final version of the track wasn't actually produced by Dr. Luke, although he was involved in the initial demo. Hmm.
