So we knew Kesha and Zedd had been in the studio working on new stuff, right; but we never expected said new stuff to be released TOMORROW (April 29th, duh.) We're officially getting the pair's collaboration - a new version of Zedd's track 'True Colors' - in our earholes ridiculously soon *and* it's all legit and allowed despite the Dr. Luke and Sony Music court battles.
Gah, we're so ready for this. DO YOU REALISE HOW LONG WE'VE BEEN WAITING?
The pair performed the track when Kesha made her TRIUMPHANT return to the stage at Coachella a couple of weeks back, and now the proper studio version's all finished and ready to be released. Basically, it's gonna be a big moment. Very poignant lyrics and that.
Announcing the news on Twitter, Zedd revealed the artwork and said: "ZEDD & KESHA - TRUE COLORS
OFFICIALLY OUT: 4/29," before adding that it's all legit.
He assured fans: "Just to clarify:
We didn't use any loop holes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!"
This is all just brilliant news and y'all can hear what the track's gonna sound like below, if you fancy.
Thoughts on all this, then? Tweet us over @sugarscape, please and ta very much.
