When producer-type person Zedd first announced that he was hooking up with Kesha on a new version of his tune 'True Colors' (which, btw, is awesome), loads of people questioned whether or actually not it was allowed. Y'know, what with her struggling to free herself from her Sony Music contract and everything?
Well now, after Zedd confirmed RCA have given the track the go ahead, Dr. Luke's been getting all sassy on Twitter and broken his silence over the song. Sassy in that it just reads as a proper sarcastic little dig, anyway.
Responding to fans asking whether or not 'True Colors' was all legit and above board as far as the label are concerned, Zedd assured everyone: "Just to clarify:
We didn't use any loop holes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!" [sic].
And how did Dr. Luke respond to this? Well he, um, just 'thanked' Zedd for clearing things up. "Thanks for the clarification @Zedd ...," he said; which probably wouldn't have sounded half as sarcastic without the ellipsis tbh.
Thoughts on Dr. Luke's response, then? Tweets over @sugarscape would be much appreciated, please and a-thank you.
