In one of the weirder pieces of boyband news to date, Casey Johnson off of Stereo Kicks has joined Union J following George Shelley's decision to quit the band earlier this year.
Yup, it's boyband inception after Union J announced they were on the hunt for a new member last month - and despite Justin Bieber not taking up the position like they originally wanted, it's Stereo Kicks's Casey Johnson who'll be making up 4/4. AGH.
The news comes after the lads took to Twitter and Instagram to share the news, with Casey speaking about how he was ready for a departure from SK.
"I have always wanted to be in a band, not a choir", he explained. "What I was in before wasn't like a boyband. Stereo Kicks was more of a choir. There wasn't really any chemistry. There were a lot of egos. Only one of them wished me happy birthday. But oh well, good luck to them."
The rest of the band also took to social media to announce how happy they were, with Josh writing: "You are welcomed with open arms. We are gonna have a lot of fun my man. Chuffed to bits. Honestly so excited to welcome Casey to the band. He's a genuine adorable fella. So excited to get going. Only thing is he's a spurs fan."
