Right so basically, despite previously cancelling her performance at the Billboard Music Awards, Dr Luke's record label has now given the go-ahead for Kesha to perform during Sunday's ceremony.
So earlier this month it was announced that Kesha would be performing at the BBMAs over the weekend, with TMZ reporting that she was going to use the performance to make a "statement" about her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke - referencing his alleged sexual abuse and drugging.
The company in charge of producing the BBMAs later released a statement explaining that her performance has actually been cancelled, issuing: "Kesha accepted an invitation to perform on the show and she received written approval from Dr. Luke's record label, Kemosabe Records.
"Kemosabe subsequently rescinded its approval following a media report on Wednesday May 11 regarding Kesha's appearance on the BBMAs. Unfortunately, Kesha and Kemosabe have since been unable to come to an agreement for Kesha to perform on the show."
At the time, Kesha took to Instagram to share her sadness about the appearance being cancelled, and her mum called for other artists to boycott the award ceremony in order to make a statement.
But now? His label Kemosabe Records have released another statement, outlining that the performance WILL go ahead.
"Kesha's performance on the Billboard Music Awards was always approved, in good faith", the explained. "Approval was only suspended when Kemosabe learned Kesha was to use the performance as a platform to discuss the litigation."
