Back in 2012 (aka four bloody years ago), producer-typer person Flume knocked One Direction's Take Me Home (WHAT AN ALBUM) off the top of the Australia iTunes chart with his self-titled debut album. And here we are in 2016 still talking about it.
'Why?' we hear you cry. Well Flume's opened up about the 'over-the-top abuse' he received from Directioners when he claimed that number one spot over the boys; saying he actually thought it was 'so funny.'
Having a chinwag with Rolling Stone Australia, Flume said: "It was basically teenage girls flipping out and being really over-the-top abusive. They wrote things like, 'How could you do this to my boys? F**k you Harley, you're f**king up One Direction.' The dumbest ones, I'd just retweet them. It was so funny."
Okay so obviously we all know rolling isn't in any way cool, but it might have something to do with the fact Flume took to Facebook at the time to say: "We did it guys, we beat One Direction," sharing a 1D fan's post and adding: "Muhaha best part about beating One Direction."
Talk about getting everyone a bit riled up, eh?
